All songs are professional re-creations and not sung by the original artists.
Customer Review: parental advisory
I bought this for my 8 year old daughter, assuming that because it was geared towards kids, it would be appropriate. I was disappointed to see that these cds had a parental advisory: "Explicit lyrics" sticker on them. It did not say this in the product description. I will be returning this item.
Customer Review: Karaoke CD review
I like this, because i love to sing. It educates you in music and is a lot of fun to do with your friends. Its not very durable though, but how many CDs are???

MUSE - Pose - Pink 30 S Ringspun T-shirt

Brand New, never worn 100% cotton front and back print Authentic MUSE T-shirt.

The emergence of hip-hop in the early 70's produced four elements, which continue to be mainstays of the genre: disc jockeying or a DJ, break dancing, emceeing or an MC, and graffiti art. How prominent are these elements today and how were they represented during BET's first annual hip-hop awards in Atlanta? Upon acceptance of the "I Am Hip-Hop Icon Award," rap pioneer, Grandmaster Flash paid homage to a host of DJs. According to Flash, DJ's were once the gatekeepers between the record labels and the streets. In 1996, thriving regional radio stations that reflected a community's heart and soul were replaced by media conglomerates with syndicated play lists. Followed by a myriad of changes in music distribution and leadership at radio stations and record labels, the fire that fueled hip-hop's reputation began to fade. To maintain integrity, Flash encouraged a shifting to the way things use to be--where new music was received and circulated by the DJs. Knowing that DJs spend all of their time in tune with the streets via clubs and parties, Flash commented, "It makes sense that [DJs] break a record." Flash also admonished MCs to allow DJs to perform on stage. "The template was designed for DJs to play a part," he said. Embodying the original template, Atlanta's DJ Drama, was among several DJs who held it down on stage alongside notable MCs. Even though break dancing and poppin' are nostalgic forms of hip-hop both are visible in varying forms of dances including the Bay Area's hyphy. Newer dances that help hip-hop maintain its hype include snap, shoulder lean, motorcycle, and chicken noodle soup. DJ Unk and the Big Oomp Camp showed attendees just how easy it was to walk-it-out in sync. While MCs abound in every corner of the globe, talent comparable to the innovators who dominated the 80's and 90's is hard to come by. As hip-hop aficionados anticipate "the new," music executives search desperately for the one or ones who will carry the hip-hop torch to the next phase. Invariably, advances in technology and a shortage of lyricists who have solid albums have caused a noticeable erosion of hip-hop's staying power.

For the past six years, hip-hop was the top-selling genre over R&B and country music and was second only to rock music. This year's lack-luster Billboard ratings are a warning sign of the genre's potential to slow to a lull until new life respires. Pending change, BET Hip-Hop award recipient, Common is the current standard for aspiring lyricists. Busta Rhymes, Lil Wayne, Lupe Fiasco, and T.I. are among his peers. Graffiti art was once an economic menace to society. For years, buildings, buses, trains, sidewalks, etc., were regular targets for unwanted and unappreciated artist tags. Today, graffiti art is perhaps the most embraced aspect of the hip-hop culture. New canvases of the profitable, permanent, and mobile enterprise now include skin (by way of tattoos), clothing, and vehicle wraps. Among the many artists profiling their "tag" or some else's during the awards were The Game, Nelly, Jim Jones, Chamillionaire, T.I., and Juelz Santana. As it relates to the four elements of hip-hop, BET's hip-hop award show recognized exceptional work and contribution to the hip-hop genre by acknowledging the Producer of the Year, Lyricist of the Year, Hip-Hop Dance of the Year, and Director of the Year. Live 2003

There is nothing like watching salsa dancers. They are so confident, sexy and dynamic. The music makes you want to get out there and dance too. So let's go. Yes, you! You can do this! Everybody has a little Salsa in their soul.

Like its culinary namesake, the Salsa is spicy and complex in flavor, yet surprisingly easy to create. Salsa can combine elements of several different dances such as the Mambo, the Cha Cha, the Rumba, Jazz and Latin Ballroom, among others. Salsa is a free and expressive dance that is continually evolving as newer and more diverse elements are incorporated into the style. Salsa has become extremely popular all over the world. You can go to a Salsa club just about anywhere you go now. From Sydney to Shanghai, everyone is learning to Salsa.

When you first become drawn to Salsa and begin to think about taking some classes, you may be a little intimidated. Salsa dancers with years of experience can make the most complex footwork and turn patterns look effortless, but that's not how any of them started. We all start at the beginning, and the beginning is just as fun as the more advanced moves you see in competitions. You don't have to learn any of the more elaborate moves to feel right at home in a Salsa club.

In a beginning Salsa class you and your partner will learn not only some basic steps and other body positions, but how to feel the music and begin to express the music through your body. There is a basic body rhythm and some easy footwork that will become second-nature to you very quickly. Rather than being a little unsure when you go out Salsa dancing, you will be able to go out on the dance floor right away. You will be surprised to see how a few simple movements will make you fit right in at any Salsa club.

Watch the other people at the Salsa clubs when you go out dancing after you've taken a few Salsa classes. You may be really surprised to see that some of the moves that seemed complex a few weeks ago don't look quite as difficult that you once thought. That turn that looked so difficult the last time you saw it is just a modified version of the turn you learned in class. It will just take a bit of practice. You and your partner will probably be able to learn some more advanced moves just by having fun at the club.

Once you learn the basics and get more comfortable at the Salsa club, you can take some advanced classes and learn more elaborate footwork. Then you'll really be able to show off your dancing skills when you go out with your friends.

No matter whether you just take a few classes to learn the basics of Salsa or go on to advanced classes, the enjoyment you will get out of learning to Salsa is something you will have for the rest of your life.

Want to learn to dance? Wish you could move your body confidently on the dance floor? Or would you just like to have a great excuse to get out and meet people? Well for all of the above come and visit Dance Vogue where professional dancer and teacher Natalie Beck show you how to take the next step.

If you have your wedding around the corner and are worried about that first dance, Natalie has a lot of experience helping couples get confident and looking great dancing together in a short period of time. Have a look at her wedding dance lessons to get up to speed.

The Latin Bass Book

This is a practical, comprehensive approach to learning Afro-Cuban, Brazilian and South American styles of bass playing, featuring 3 CDs of Berklee professor Oscar Stagnaro playing with three different world-class rhythm sections. The book consists mostly of transcriptions of every note Oscar plays on the accompanying CDs. Some amazing music, and logically progressing from simple to complex examples of each style.
Customer Review: What does one say?
This is a MASSIVE book (262 pages!) of latin bass in all it's various styles. We are not talking simple repetive patterns here either, we are talking from moderate to complex lines with excellent notation and a top notch CD set behind it. If you want to learn Latin Bass, you can start here, and stop here, as you won't find more and better probably anywhere else. Although it is not a Real Book, You can think of that kind of setup and variety.
Customer Review: Good intro to latin bass playing
This book is well thought, thorough and enjoyable. Comes with 3 CDs that stand alone on their own, if you don't mind having bass on one side and the rest of the band on the other. This arrangement allows you to pan the track and play along with the band, or focus on the bass line only. I googled some of the guys who play with Oscar in these CDs and they are first rate musicians with impressive resumes (try Rebeca Mauleón). It comes with no tab, but the first bass lines are simple enough so it wouldn't be a bad place to start reading, and once you understand the beats and where the bassline falls, you should be in a good position to read almost anything! The book takes you to a series of concepts that become more complex from track to track in a well thought way, so you build on your understanding of the subject. Probably the hardest part is to keep yourself from dancing while you play along to the CDs! A good purchase.

I've been around horses for the better part of 25 years. I've had my share of mishaps, and every one of them was my fault. I've never had a horse intentionally hurt me, throw me, bite me, or try to fool me. Horses just don't lie. It's one of my favorite things about them. They are as honest and authentic as we could ever hope to be. They are the epitome of "what you see is what you get". In short, horses are just horses and they never pretend (or attempt) to be anything else.

Horses are very intuitive animals. They rely on their instincts/intuition to keep themselves safe. They have an uncanny ability to identify emotions, even when you're doing your best to hide them. I can't tell you the number of times I was in a bad mood and tried to get near my horse, only to have him walk away from me every time I got close. I'd put on my happy face and use my happy voice but it didn't matter. That horse would avoid me like the plague UNTIL I just allowed myself to feel whatever I was feeling. The moment I'd stop trying to mask an emotion, he'd come right up to me and give me his usual nuzzle, as if to say, "See? That's all you had to do. Just BE how you feel. It's really okay with me." I swear, it's the craziest thing, but my horse always knows when I'm faking it.

Now, there are a couple of things about the care and handling of horses that are always under dispute. But, in my experience I've found that the best way to get a horse to do what you want is to ASK. The whole idea that you can beat a horse into submission is about as barbaric (to me) as taking a branding iron to a child who is misbehaving. You wouldn't do that would you? So why in the world would you try to force such an intelligent, intuitive creature into submission? Here's the thing: horses want to make you happy. It's true, I swear it. But there is an agreement that must be honored. That agreement is we get to ride on their backs and use their power to facilitate our needs and we must honor them for what they are. That includes listening to them and caring for them and showing some respect. It's got to be a mutual thing or it just won't work.

One last thing before we get to the little 'summary'. Horses and people don't view time in the same way. What I mean is, let's say you are trying to teach the horse to load into a trailer. The horse isn't having it. You have to be somewhere in 30 minutes and the horse won't budge. So you might try all sorts of ugly things to get that horse to load. And the horse is still not having it. There is really only one solution. You are the one who's trying to beat the clock, so you need to rearrange your schedule. Because as sure as the sun rises in the Eastern sky, that horse isn't going to load until it's good and ready. The time issue is YOUR problem, not his. And he couldn't care less about your appointment. So, don't force the issue. It'll turn into an ongoing nightmare every single time you try to load that horse into a trailer. The best way to get a horse to do something is to make it so he WANTS to do it. (But that's for another day). In short, don't expect that your definition of 'timely' is the same as your horse's. It isn't.

How does all this apply to my business? Well, it's pretty simple really. To recap:

1. Be who you are. Don't pretend to be anyone else. While you may not please all the people all the time, authenticity goes a long, long way in terms of the Big Picture. People, like animals, know when you're being real. So, be real.

2. Don't fake it. Feel what you feel and let yourself go through those emotions. This does NOT mean that you can treat people badly. What it does mean is that if you paste a smile on your face that you're not feeling, it's as easy to spot as plastic vampire teeth on Halloween. Never underestimate another person's intuition.

3. Always ask for the sale/business/etc. Don't think that just because you're in front of someone they're going to know what you want. Treat them with respect. Respect their ability to make choices. Honor their perspectives. Listen to what they're saying. It's all about communication.

4. Throw away your expectations of timeliness when dealing with your customers. Your definition of "soon" and theirs may be totally inharmonious. You can certainly ask for a commitment, but you must respect their time line too. Make it clear if you're on a deadline so they can take advantage of whatever it is you're offering. But always remember that we all 'dance to a different beat' and that beat may be completely different than yours. Think Waltz versus Rumba!

One more thing: next time you think it's everyone else who's messing up and ruining your day (business or otherwise) take a moment to look in the mirror. I'd be willing to bet that 9 times out of 10, it's the reflection you'll see that's causing the discord. Take responsibility for your life, your business and your future. Once you've done that, the rest is easy to figure out.

To your success~~~in all areas of your life!

Multicore

Kalimoto have quite a unique sound, as anyone who has seen them live, or heard their cd's or mp3's will testify. Their sound might even be described as a testament to a variety of influences, although these influences are not always so obvious. Some critics have described the band as "goth", others as "indie pop", others as "alternative rock", others as "funky space rock"!

Reviewers have made various comparisons as diverse as Mansun, Verve, Coldplay, Doves, Clash, U2, Chameleons, The The, The Jam and Oasis right through to Simon & Garfunkel to DJ Shadow even.....

If you've not heard them, check them out and judge for yourself! I think you'll agree, they are difficult to pigeon-hole and great to listen to.

The most well known sport in Thailand is the Thai boxing or Muay Thai. It is a sport which needs a lot of strength, stamina and adaptability. It has a spiritual element too which is normally not linked with sports.

It is a form of combat between two fighters. Records show that this sport existed as early 1411, but it is possible that Muay Thai was in existence even before that. In 1920, Muay Thai was banned as it had become extremely violent and dangerous for the fighters. However, in 1937, the sport was revived and the fighters had to wear protective gear as the new rules and regulations that were laid down.

The spiritual aspect in Muay Thai can be seen before the sport starts. The fighters kneel down to pray to their wai kru or teacher before the event begins and they also perform a dance which is a bit of warm up besides being a ritual. This dance form is called Ram Muay. Ram Muay differs according to individual training camps. The dance is accompanied by music played by the band. The music is also known as phipat music.

The participant wears a tennis racket-like hoop on the head during the dance ceremony and then the coach removes it to indicate the start of the fight. Fighters wear bands containing a Buddha amulet and / or some kind of herb to bring good luck to them.

The actual boxing has five rounds and each round is for 3 minutes. There are three judges, who are seated in three different boxes on three different sides of the boxing ring. Points are given for each punch that lands on the opponent. In between the rounds, fighters can rest. Trainers use the rest as an opportunity to soak the fighters with water and advice them.

Muay Thai is considered to be a difficult sport and requires the fighters to be in peak physical condition.

Coldplay - A Rush of Blood to the Head

P/V/G arrangements for every song from Coldplay's 2002 Grammy winner for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Rock Performance by a Group. 11 tracks: Amsterdam Clocks Daylight God Put a Smile upon Your Face Green Eyes In My Place Politik A Rush of Blood to the Head The Scientist Warning Sign A Whisper.
Customer Review: A Pleasure to Play
I look forward to going home every night (and probably much to my neighbors' and roommate's dismay) to try to play and sing at the same time. The music is for the piano to accompany the rest of the band, so it doesn't always carry the melody. But it's awesome and not too bad. The abundance of sharps and flats may scare some, such as me, but in the end the chords are not too difficult; there is a lot of repetition. I am particularly fond of many of the songs. I hope this helps! Personally, I prefer Parachutes.
Customer Review: Great Condition, Great Content
It feels great to order something and get exactly what you intended and had in mind, all at the same time it being in wonderful condition. It was a smart order.

Customer Review: A good album with excellent bonuses
At this price you have to really like Coldplay. This is not their best album but great nonetheless. I will always enjoy Parachutes the most. This edition of X&Y includes the videos for "Fix You," "Speed of Sound," "The Hardest Part," and "Talk". It also includes two exclusive B-sides: "Setting Sun" and "Gravity". "Setting Sun" is actually a very good song. It's a shame it doesn't get more recognition. Did I mention the songs come in DVD-audio? Overall, this is a must-have for any hardcore Coldplay fan. All others can pass.
Customer Review: Best ever
This is my favorite CD ... I have listened to it over a 100 times! I am not tired of it. Great music!!!

“Play us something from home,” shouted a keyed up fan from the back of the audience who hoped to hear some traditional jigs.

I came from home,” growled the soloist. “Our house burnt to the ground. I’ll play something from there, if you want to get schnitty.”

Ashley Mac Isaac isn’t famous for his tactfulness. But he's a damn good fiddler.

After hearing the request for songs from his native Cape Breton Island, he said, “Most of the music I played (as a child) was for funerals. So I’ll play something up-tempo like that," he sneered, then a smile cropped emerged. "This next tune is called ‘My Home.’ ” He played a traditional Cape Breton song with a rock band backup, an intense mix he created in the mid-90's with his chart-topping album, "Hi, How Are You Today?"

Once the song was finished, he quickly shot his characteristic and expected middle-finger "gesture" at the person near the back who had made the request. Then Ashley continued to create some of the most remarkable fiddle music I’ve ever heard! Like many others in the audience, I was confused and awkwardly amused by his startling polarity!

Ashley’s not a “pretty boy” like many other pop stars and teen icons. No sparkling jumpsuits or nose jobs here. He wears a ball cap, sometimes hidden by the hood of his sweater, baggy jeans and big rings. His face is scruffy and his voice is rough, but again, he can sure fiddle.

This performer doesn’t go out of his way to make eye contact and occasionally turned away from the audience during his solos, not unlike Miles Davis’ notorious performances. Come to think of it, I think he was even wearing sunglasses in the dark concert hall! But again, his remarkable fiddling more than made up for his detached stage presence.

Ashley won't make the audience feel warm and fuzzy inside with stock compliments like, “This town’s the best town I’ve ever played in.” In fact, this east-coaster poked fun at our local British Columbian politics and called attention to the fact that “such a lively crowd” hardly budged from their seats during his high-energy concert opening. I wholeheartedly agreed with him on that point since his fiddling was certainly deserving of some audience participation and not dancing was an insult to the fiddler.

And what a fiddler he is. Ashley has mastered his instrument with marvelous innovation.

Before the concert I expected his backward violin hold and unconventional technique would have gotten in the way of my appreciation of him as a violinist, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. His musicality, phrasing, and sense of style were phenomenal. He was up and down the neck of his instrument with such fluency as to lead a non-player to think it was incredibly easy.

There’s one word to describe Ashley MacIsaac’s playing: INTENSE. From lilting jigs to hard rock with fiddle solos, his intensity was electrifying. He'll never leap across the stage with enthusiasm and he only grugingly step-danced in the traditonal style, “hobbling and wobbling” as he put it. Even without the typical violinist's stage presence, he does give an electrifying, intense show and his attitude is fun.

Though his sound is rough and harsh, the subtle nuances like grace notes and other embellishments make his interpretation of traditional Celtic songs priceless. I was captured by his aggressive yet nimble bowing and laughed each time another few stands of hair came loose from his bow. He had to stop a few times to yank out the stray hairs from his balding instrument, during which he would babble on about everyday things.

He explained in great detail about his dinner earlier that night at a Chinese restaurant. “I had the ‘Lovers for Two Dinner.’ I was pretty full by the end of it. I don’t know what that has to with the next song.”

Neither did we.

He's also a smart-ass. His musical repetoire included musical gags from a violin wolf whistle to the chorus from La Cucharacha. His band didn't even seem to know what was going to happen next and I swear he played the traditional reel, "Fairy Dance," twice. No one seemed to notice or care.

Initially I was nervous that he's go too far with the edgy remarks, but I grew to appreciate his straightforward, honest approach to talking to the audience. His candid and direct remarks helped the audience warm up to him as a person, not just a pop star. It must be a Cape Breton thing: all the players I’ve seen from the island are “what you see is what you get” sort of people.

“I started playing fiddle when I was eight years old,” he said at the end of the show. “I’m 28. I’ve played for 20 years. That’s a good two-thirds of my life. I’ll be darn near one hundred by the time I’ve lived as much as I’ve played.”

Most of the audience was lost at this last remark, dazed expressions across our blank faces, but we all nodded slowly and asked for more fiddling.

Hiring music entertainment can arguably be the most important booking made for your wedding. Guests remember whether or not they had fun at your wedding. What you pay for is what you get is a good rule of thumb. However, I would like to educate the consumer, future brides and grooms, of how to hire a DJ and things to consider. The following are 9 important factors to consider when hiring a disc jockey BEFORE you sign the contract.

1. Who would be the DJ for your occasion? Many DJ companies are a multi-system operation. Be sure to have in writing of who your DJ will be at your event. I would recommend meeting your DJ before hiring the company at a neutral place, like a restaurant.

2. How many years experience does your DJ have with your type of function? Anyone can pretend to be a DJ. If you are having a formal event, does your DJ know how to organize a wedding reception or a grand entrance? The DJ should perform the type of show that you want!

3. Does the DJ get everyone involved dancing or do they just play music? You have to ask yourself if you want a DJ that will get everyone dancing? For example, will the DJ involve guests by playing and conducting motivational dances like the Chicken Dance, Hokey Pokey, Cha Cha Slide or just play music?

4. Will the DJ be dressed appropriately? Formal means tuxedo or dress. Semi-formal means dress pants, shirt & tie or slacks and blouse. Casual means polo shirt or company shirt. Be sure the DJ is dressed appropriately during set-up and takedown of equipment. Some guests do arrive early and stay late.

5. What is the DJ's fee? How much is overtime? Is a tip included in the fee? Will there be an extra charge for lighting-what does the lighting include? How much is travel to your location? Are you ONLY paying for the time the DJ performs?

6. Does the DJ include a contract? Be sure to have all details of your function in writing. The DJ must know the date, place, and time! You must know each other's names and phone numbers including the DAY of the occasion.

7. Is the DJ company professional? This may sound silly, but does the DJ have insurance? Accidents do happen. It's better to be prepared. Also, is the DJ a member of a national DJ association like ADJA or NAME? If they are, then they care about what they do and are a better chance of being professional.

8. What kind of equipment does the DJ use? Typically, if a DJ is using a brand of equipment you can buy at your local retail store, then that's what you will get. Excellent brand names include: JBL, Community, Denon, Gemini, QSC, Crown, etc. Always, and I mean always, ask if the DJ has back-up equipment WITH them for your function. Also, be sure the DJ brings the right amount of sound for the number of guests expected.

9. What music do you play? How many music selections will the DJ have WITH them? Be sure your DJ takes requests before and during your function. Also, give them a guideline of what you want played. However, this is what the DJ is paid to do. Don't limit the DJ by saying you want all of one kind of music or a list of 100 songs they must play. The best scenario is to play any type of music that gets people dancing and having fun. By the way, it should be understood the DJ does not play any offensive music.

I hope this helps!

Potential is a key component in the ability to master success. Yet, have you ever thought about the 3 qualities that are needed to temper your own potential?

Temper comes from the Latin word temparare that means to regulate. In modern times, the word has come to mean to harden such as in metal.

Herbert Bayard Swope wrote: You never will be the person you can be, if pressure, tension and discipline are taken out of of your life.

These 3 qualities will regulate your potential, will temper your potential and ultimately contribute to your ability to master success or the continued inability to master success.

Pressure is a quality that molds individuals. How you respond to various pressures showcases your potential. Pressure can reveal certain potential strengths that you did not know that you had.

To understand the word tension begins by learning its origin. Tension is also Latin in its origin and comes from the word tendere that means to stretch. How much can you stretch yourself? Tension is the result constantly being stretched.

With the W.A.Y. S.M.A.R.T. or S.M.A.R.T. goal criteria, the R means to construct your goals realistically high so that you have to stretch. When achievement comes easy, we as humans have a tendency to become complacent.

Discipline is another Latin word and comes from two words: dis means apart and capere means hold. Today discipline involves training that develops self control or character in which you hold yourself apart from the rest. Effective leadership or rather self-leadership is really about self-control and character.

When you look at your own personal and professional achievements, if you removed the pressure, the tension and the discipline from your life would you have these successes?

Now take a look at your life from a different lens. What would happen if you applied a little more pressure, tension and discipline to your life? Would you have tapped into more of your potential and realize even a greater ability to master success?

El Cantante

Though they don't look much alike, slight actor-singer Marc Anthony was born to play robust salsa sensation Héctor Lavoe. In addition to similar ancestry and vocal skills, Anthony has been building a respectable cinematic resume with roles in Big Night and Martin Scorsese's Bringing out the Dead. The title of El Cantante comes from a number Rubén Blades wrote for The Singer. Lavoe would make it his signature song. In the film, Anthony's wife, producer Jennifer Lopez, plays Puchi, the Nuyorican beauty who won Lavoe's heart. She narrates their story from the perspective of 2002 (the real-life Puchi passed away shortly afterwards). Leon Ichaso (Piñero) contrasts Lavoe's rise from Puerto Rican street singer to New York superstar with his fall from innocent immigrant to heroin-addicted ladies man. By the mid-1980s, Lavoe's popularity hit its peak, and Ichaso spends the rest of the time ticking off the tragedies of his final years: the break with trombonist Willie Colón (John Ortiz), stay in a mental ward, etc. It's a dynamic portrait, and Anthony and Lopez work well together, but despite the urban setting and Latin-flavored soundtrack, El Cantante follows virtually the same trajectory as Ray and Walk the Line (Ichaso has also directed biopics of Jimi Hendrix and Muhammad Ali). His movie looks and sounds authentic, but Lavoe's story might've been better served as nonfiction. There's a sense that there was more to the man than what appears on screen. --Kathleen C. Fennessy
Customer Review: El cantante sings!
I loved this movie and I also love JLo and Marc Anthony! I think this movie was underrated. If you are truly interested in Hector Lavoe, you will love it. If you buy it just cause you want to see JLo and Marc, you probably won't like it. They are good in the movie but the story is what made it for me. Of course, it goes without saying, Marc Anthony's voice is supberb!
Customer Review: WONDERFUL....
I rented this film recently and was surprised at how good it was. The story depicts the stormy life and tragic end to the great salsa legend Hector Lavoe. This movie hits you in the heart from the start. It makes you care about the character and his music. I now own a cd of Hector Lavoe and I never knew I could like salsa. Who knew?? His music is amazing and the tragic events of his life makes you want to know the person behind the prose of his songs. My ears know good music when it hears it and this man was a icon. Hector Lavoe.......rest in peace! I'm not much of a fan of Jennifer Lopez but she played a good role. However, another actress (a more popular one) would have made this film more marketable to the non-Hispanic population ( mass audience).
